“Being a newly engaged couple running on a low income in a world of political turmoil is enough to test anyone’s patience. As is being two life sized dolls working in a traveling band for a company that exploits more than it serves.
It’s the toys that take the stage in the world of Burning Down Dollhouses. Madjaw Dolls is a growing company where dolls can talk and the babies in the audience just can’t seem to stop smiling. Jai and her love Dyxxin perform in a traveling toy band under the orders of an old woman named Mads. Fighting for a promotion is tough and both are worried that Mads may have some other plans in preparation for impending catastrophe. Securing a stable life in a world without logic may get the best of them.”
Burning Down Dollhouses was one of the first comic demos under Madjaw Dolls concieved around 2015-2016. Though no longer running due to newer content in the works, Burning Down Dollhouses combined the influences of 1990s pop culture with the likes of pyschological horror and characters reminescent of the Rock-A-Fire Explosion to form a grotesque visual story. Burning Down Dollhouses will not be picked up for a full story, below are some of the process works that went behind the project development.
